My Posture and Well-being have Improved Greatly

I first came across Abbey Chiro in the Ilac centre where I received a free posture check. I was advised to get some chiropractic treatment on my poor posture, as I liked to play golf also, I saw how improving my posture could also improve my game.

I found the clinic to be very accommodating towards my busy schedule when booking in for treatment. I didn’t realise how bad my posture actually was until I began receiving treatment. My posture began to get better and my overall well-being also.

As the job I do involves driving for 10-12 hours per day, 5 days per week; I also got an unexpected benefit in that the treatment gave me better movement in my body. Although I work for long hours, with regular visits it has made it much easier to work and Golf whenever I can.

I thought physio was the came as chiropractic when I came in for treatment first. But since starting with chiropractic care it has benefited me more, I was receiving physio for 6-8 months before starting treatment but it was little or no help to me.

I would highly recommend the clinic, the staff (both Doctors and Masseuses) have been very welcoming both past and present. There has always been a great atmosphere and a welcome of tea or coffee and biscuits when you arrive for your appointment.

A chiropractor can help with your pregnancy related pain

A chiropractor can help with your pregnancy related painDealing with the pain and burden of having a child is one of the most daunting tasks a woman will face in her life: carrying the weight of the child wreaks havoc on a woman’s posture, and can create painful and uncomfortable pressure on joints, in some cases leading to excruciating pinched nerves and pressure on the spinal cord. Managing such weight then is of paramount importance for the woman in question and her spouse: if she’s in better health, there’s a greater chance the childbirth will come with no complications, and that post-partum she’ll be of better spirit.

One of the ways you can manage and, in some cases, eliminate this pain is by visiting a chiropractor. One might think, at first, it a bit odd to see a chiropractor in such a case; though, the more thought you put into it, the more sense it makes. Chiropractors perform their magic by realigning joints, and using precisely metered pressure with surgical precision. By using their chiropractic skills, they’ll be able to eliminate the possibility of pinched nerves and compressed spinal column.

There will, though, be some pain that the chiropractor can’t eliminate. This will be a result of the simple fact that a weight is being carried low on the body, and with mostly the hips bearing the load. Your chiropractor can, however, help manage this weight, and reduce your hip pain. Weekly visits will keep inflammation and compression down on the hips and pelvis, and help a woman with child maintain her mobility to a much higher degree than going it alone. The dreaded back pain will also be kept at bay: you can deal with nearly every pregnancy related pain through chiropractic medicine.

With or without chiropractic help, a woman’s body undergoes intense stress when placed in the situation of childbirth. Though, if you choose to use a chiropractic approach to manage your pregnancy pain, you’ll be in a much better situation to deal with the stress and strain of pregnancy, and the aftermath. The use of chiropractic care during pregnancy has been well documented by the American Pregnancy Association as well as other pregnancy associations around the world. This is based simply on the fact that chiropractic medicine – sharp, intense jabs of pressure applied with surgical precision – works, and works very well when dealing with the forces at work when a woman becomes pregnant. Most health insurance plans will actually cover chiropractic visits, and you’ll be in a much better situation to come out of pregnancy and deal with the post-partum emotions physically, and mentally.

Chiropractic visits eased my Pregnancy Related Problems

When I got pregnant I started getting migraines all the time, but couldn’t bring myself to take tablets. After a few treatments my migraines have eased and when I get one now I go to the chiropractor and this eases the nausea feeling, and within ten minutes I feel great.

It has also helped my morning sickness, as this can also be quite bad at any time of the day. the chiropractor has recommended stretches and vitamins that I can take during the pregnancy. This is also a great relief, as it is a natural remedy and involves no harm or risk to my unborn child.

I was a non-believer of chiropractic, and anyone that told me that the spine was linked to my organs, I would have thought they were lying. Since doing some research on my own and finding they are linked, this is great. Anyone that is curious about chiropractic should try it for themselves. In Abbey Chiro the staff and doctors are very inviting and actually care about their patients. Try it you will be amazed!

What pleased me most about the treatment, was getting rid of the back pain I had. Now I go once a month and it really keeps me secure in my thinking that I won’t go back to the way I was before. Also my migraines are under control.

Also as a pregnant woman I have gotten a lot of support in this clinic about how chiropractic can help with labor and my child when I give birth.

Thank you so much!!!
